I’ve done two worldwide Skype-like interviews with Sarah Mackenzie and her Read-Aloud Revival membership - in 2017, and in 2018. I enjoyed them so much that we’ve scheduled another session for Friday, March 15, 2019. I wish EVERY family and EVERY school classroom could participate in these. Sarah Mackenzie IS.THE.BEST!
THE KIDS’ CAT BOOK has been renamed, updated and refreshed.
The Christmas story was told in words and music at Holiday Pops concerts three years ago, and Tomie’s Christmas book art was used to illustrate the story. The experience was spectacular, and moved audiences to standing ovations at the concerts. When Tomie saw his work projected on an enormous screen, and used beautifully and lovingly, he was moved to tears.
The Boston Holiday Pops will be re-creating that telling of the Christmas story during concerts this December. Tomie will attend one of the early December concerts with friends.
He’ll return to Symphony Hall in Boston, MA, on Tuesday, December 18, to autograph books - for ticketed concert-goers - after the children’s concert at 4:30 p.m., and before the evening concert at 8:00 p.m. Famed Conductor Keith Lockhart will also be autographing CDs. AND, JUST ANNOUNCED! Keith Lockhart invited Tomie to join him on stage during this December 18, 4:30 p.m., concert to narrate “A Visit From St. Nick.”
