Tomie joined over 200 children’s book illustrators in 2005 and created art on snowflake-shaped wooden templates. The online charity auction, called “Robert’s Snow,” raised money for cancer research at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston.
I was outbid trying to win Tomie’s super sculpey art: “Round Yon Virgin, Mother and Child.”
