Tomie illustrated three of Steven’s stories: THE TYRANNOSAURUS GAME in 1976, SANTA’S CRASH-BANG CHRISTMAS in 1977, and FAT MAGIC in 1978.
Tomie said that Steven had trouble writing satisfying endings to his stories, so Tomie and his editor, Margery Cuyler, needed to work on how his stories concluded. (Bob)
